After a long struggle, Katie is resting in the peaceful hands of the Father. Katie was so much more than her struggles. She was a creative writer & artist. She was an amazing cook. She loved camping, hiking & the mountains. She had a compassion for people that glowed in her. Her love for her family & friends was unbreakable. Her brother Josh & I will miss her forever. I would like to thank the friends & family who have supported us through this hard path.

I am every sad to hear that she has passed, it breaks my heart to know that we couldn’t be together like in the past when we were younger. We were good friends back then, I was in hope to reconnect like we were. But because of the struggles we didn’t get that chance and that hurts even more. I am mourning for all of the family and to the ones I knew most, I am so sorry for your lose and I send so much love to all of you.

Shirley and Josh,
I just talked to your mom and she told me about Katie passing away. We are so very sorry for your loss and will remember Katie as a sweet, happy, and playful child when we lived on Highwood Blvd. May you find moments of peace through Katie’s memory.
