It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Rogers who was called home on February 6, 2026 at the age of 87 years. Jim is survived by his loving wife Anne; his son Darrel (Lorie), children; Brad, Nicole (Josh); his son Dave (Shelly), child; Dillon; his daughter Janice (Wade), children; Stephanie, Brittney (Ryan); his daughter-Tracey children; Colby (Alora), Miranda (Jordyn).
Also great grandchildren, Ahmed, Mera, Isobel, Elianna, Bennett and Otto.
In his younger years in Calgary, Jim worked as an Orderly at the Hospital, which is where he met Anne, soon after they were married and starting their family together.
He later became a Welder that took him to many different companies and they moved the family to St. Albert in 1977. He was very creative with his welding at home as well, making tables, planters and all kinds of lovely items we still cherish.
Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with family and friends.
He loved making wooden lawn ornaments which adorn all of our yards. He also made them for friends in his retirement years.
Jim was active within the church community in Devon for over 30 years, leaving be-hind many close friends. In his younger years he was an Usher, and attended Bible Study with Anne until recently. He also used his welding skills to make a cross, sign and ramp for the church.
Jim and Anne liked to garden together and kept an immaculate yard full of flowers and various vegetables.
A private family celebration will be held at a later date.
Jim and Anne were involved with ministry at the Mustard Seed Church and Shiloh Youth Ranch. Donations can be made in Jim’s memory to either.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

I am saddened that my uncle Jim has passed away without any notice to us. My deepest sympathies and prayers are with all of the Rogers family. May he rest in peace. He was a good uncle he was loved and respected. May he rest in peace and may the family of the Rogers family also rest knowing that he is with his heavenly father.

Ann Tracie and family
It is with a heavy heart that Ken and I offer our condolences. We so enjoyed bantering with Jim. I loved his sense of dry humour. We miss him and Ann every Sunday morning at service. It is good to know he is with our Lord
