Marty Troudt

You are here: Obituaries / Marty Troudt
December 23, 1953 - April 16, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marty Robert Troudt on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the age of 72. Marty was born on December 23, 1953, in the small community of Mercoal, Alberta.

At the age of four, he moved from Coal Valley to the Erith Tie Company, where he made many lifelong memories. In 1962, his family settled in Stony Plain, where Marty grew up working on the family farm, graduated from high school, built many friendships, and later raised his own young family.
As a young man, Marty earned several journeyman certifications: including welder, pipefitter, plumber, and gasfitter, which he carried proudly throughout his hardworking life. He was someone who could see the big picture and had the skill and determination to bring it to life.

Marty is survived by his loving wife, Cory; his daughters, Kelly Martens (Brent) and Christy Feil (Don); his stepchildren, Desiree Birch (Dan) and Cameron Clark (Brittany); his daughter-in-law, Jessica Robbins; and his sister, Connie Hinkel (Kieth). He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Ruby Troudt; his brothers, Lyle and Bruce Troudt; and his stepson, Dylan Clark.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all who showed kindness and support to Marty over the past several years during his health challenges.

Marty will be deeply missed for his hearty laugh, generosity, and kind heart. Rest in peace my Love.

A celebration of Marty’s life will be held at a later date.
