Born in Cadomin, Alberta, with fire red hair and a personality to match, Allana was raised in Provost and later settled in Edmonton.
A caretaker by nature she played Mother to many, and absolutely adored her sons. With a never ending supply of strength and love for her family and friends, she was always there to support, comfort, and empower others. Whether it was the shirt off her back or just telling you how it really is, Allana was a giver. With her true heart, and kindness for all, people and pets of every walk were easily drawn to her beautiful spirit. She was passionate in her opinions, loved to dance and faithfully cheered on local teams, especially her Oilers! Always working hard, and known for her strong work ethics, Allana found success in every job she took on. From long haul trucking throughout North America, to the office of Premier, Don Getty, she brought value to every team.
Steadfast in the driver’s seat, this courageous prairie redhead chose to utilize the blessings of MAID and peacefully departed for her next venture. Some of her last words were about living a full life; she had “dined with Royalty and partied with Angels”.
As a devoted Mother, Allana will be dearly missed by her sons Allan & Jay Astles (Jamie), siblings Brenda Brown (Dave), Grant Washburn & Thomas Ripley (Michelle), nieces, nephew and some very treasured friends. We are confident she will be watching over us all and continue to guide us from above.
