Amanda Katherine Daniels passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2026, at the age of 36 in Alberta Beach, AB. Born to Brian and her mother on June 10, 1989, she was affectionately loved by her family and all those around her. Amanda loved spending time in the outdoors with her family. Her life revolved around her children and her kitties. Amanda was born to be a loving, caring person, which was evident in her nursing profession.

Amanda grew up in Ottawa, Ontario. She grew up with her parents and younger sister and spent a lot of time with her cousins. Amanda had a daughter, Cadence, at the age of 21. Amanda and Cadence had a very close and loving relationship. Amanda moved to Alberta shortly after to be close to her father, Brian. At the age of 28, Amanda had a son, Colton. Amanda took her training and received her nursing license in 2015. Amanda married her husband Josh at the age of 31. Amanda loved to travel, which was evident on her trips across Canada and on her trips with her father and sister to Jasper. Amanda made trips to Mexico, Cuba, and Miami with her daughter, son, and husband.

The sudden loss of Amanda was unexpected, and our families are devastated by this news. Amanda was a beautiful soul, a kind and loving mother, and the best big sister and friend. Amanda was inspiring with her generosity, her passionate love for those close to her, and her dedication to helping people. She touched everyone with her amazing smile and sense of humour. She will be greatly missed!!

Amanda will always be remembered by her son, Colton, and his father, Kevin Kozdrowski; her husband Joshua McDermott, and his son Hayden; her sister Alyssa Daniels, and her son Trenton Patricelli; Aunts and Uncles, Derek and Mary Daniels, Glen Daniels, Paula Carmichael, and Randy Valois; Grandparents, Donald Woodley (Papa), Antoinette and David Daniels; Cousins Marla, Peter, Emma, Cassandra, and April, as well as her many friends and family.

Amanda was predeceased by her daughter, Cadence Poucachiche, her father, Brian Daniels, and her Grandparents.

A small private celebration of life will be held with her immediate family and friends.

Amanda is with her daughter now. May they rest in eternal peace.

This can’t be real. You’ll always be in my heart and at the forefront of my mind whenever common sense and conviction are needed. I’ve always admired your courage, strength, and unconventional wisdom. Facing uncertainty, you strive and remind us all that pressure makes diamonds. I’ve searched the night skies for your diamond; the sky feels dull, but I think I found you up there, shining bright. I’ll forever keep that exact star in my heart, soul, and life—every time I gaze into the abyss, I’ll find you. I love you, Amanda. This is surreal and impossible to accept, but I hope this reaches you somehow and you give me a sign. I wish I’d been more present lately; the regret is too painful for words. Sometimes it doesn’t get easier or better… I now know true tragedy and loss. I’ll never give up on you. I’ll reluctantly use your memory as fuel for the future, keep your memory alive, and think of you always. ***** 🙂 That’s for you. I’ve lost more than a friend—a true sister and mentor in so many ways. I love you, kid. Xo
