It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine Louise Arbeau, a devoted teacher, volunteer, and cherished friend. Mom left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
For many years, she dedicated her life to education, guiding students not only through lessons in the classroom but through the challenges of growing up. Her patience, kindness, and unwavering belief in the potential of every student inspired countless young minds. She had a rare gift: the ability to make each person feel seen, heard, and capable.
Beyond the classroom, she gave generously of her time to volunteer work, always seeking ways to uplift their community. Whether organizing local events, mentoring youth, or lending a helping hand wherever it was needed, Cathy embodied a spirit of selflessness and care.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—long afternoons at the dog park with beloved dogs, whose companionship brought comfort and laughter, and quiet mornings spent with a warm cup of coffee, reflecting and preparing for the day ahead. These small moments were a reflection of her gentle and appreciative nature.
Mom will be remembered for her warmth and dedication, and the countless lives she touched. Their legacy lives on in the students she inspired, the community they strengthened, and the love they shared so freely.
They are deeply missed and will forever be held in the hearts of family, friends, students, and all who knew them.
Oldest daughter of Arthur and Louise Arbeau’s six children. Partner to Brian William Noseworthy, mother to Clifford and Morgan Noseworthy Aldo Charlie’s human.
The more tech-savvy of her sons is at work today, and when he’s not, he’s tired, so sadly, no pictures, but if you can post them down below, please do. If you find yourself with a double cream in hand and think of mom in passing, raise your cup in a silent toast. Maybe go to a dog park and make 3 strangers into friends in a matter of hours, a magic she had that I could never figure out.
Goodbye mom love you and miss you.
