She was born in Edmonton AB to Basil (Bill) and Elsie Gizowski and was the youngest of three
siblings. Donna graduated from Austin O’Brien Highschool and went on to study at NAIT. After
getting married and having four children of her own, she later started a career at TELUS where
she worked for 33 years before retiring at age 62.
She was predeceased by her Father, Bill Gizowski and Sister Carol Gizowski, and leaves behind
her children, Anthony, Stephanie, Marc and Danielle Bourque, her Mother Elsie Gizowski and
Brother Jim Gizowski, along with countless friends who felt her warmth and kindness.
To commemorate her beautiful life and to celebrate the love she spread, a memorial service
will be held in her honor on Saturday June 21, 2025 from 11am to 2pm at Park Memorial 9709-

We are so sorry to hear about your mother’s passing.
When we were younger, I remember your Mom was a top student at AOB and very creative. These traits served Donna well as she undertook media studies at NAIT. She was always so thoughtful whether she was planning an event or caring for her family, though with a side of mischief always possible. We hope that your happy memories of your Mom will help you through this difficult period and give you comfort.
