It is with deep sadness and much love that we mourn the passing of Gladys Lillian Fosti on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the age of 86 years.
Gladys was born in Amulet, Saskatchewan. The family later moved to Saskatoon where both Gladys and her twin sister, Gloria graduated as RNs from St. Paul’s Grey Nuns Class of ’58.
Gladys will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Cathy Pytel (Peter) and Margo Fosti (Owen); grandchildren: Kelly (Travis), Robert (Jade), Nathan (Kaitlynn), and Connor; and numerous nieces, cousins and friends.
Gladys was predeceased by her husband, William (Bill); parents, Philip and Eva Schindelka; siblings, Raymond and Gloria; and sister-in-law, Norma.
Gladys continued to love and care for others throughout her life. Gladys was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed sharing her humor and creativity with her loved ones. Gladys will be deeply missed by her family and those whose lives she touched.
Cremation has taken place. An Interment service will be held May 3, 2025 at 11:30 am at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gladys may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or the charity of one’s choice.

I was very sorry to read of the loss of your Mom and your children’s grandmother, Gladys. It was quite an accomplishment for her to graduate from nursing school in 1958. Thinking of you and your families.

Your mom was such a lovely person. She was fun and always interested in what we were doing as kids and teenagers. Her home was a welcoming place and I will cherish my memories of her.
