It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Harry Shomachuk at the age of 81. He is predeceased by his parents, Conrad and Eva, and 6 siblings (Leo, Mary, Ann, Olga, Mike, John) and survived by his sister, Nady Chessman. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his loving wife, Dorothea; his 4 children, Kim, Harry Jr., Troy, and Todd; all of his 10 grandchildren (Shelby, Garret, Amber, Aaron, Adam, Doran, Kohl, Corwyn, Terryl, Jinaye); and other family and friends. We will continue to celebrate his brilliance, kindness and amazing spirit and cherish his memories.
The family would like to thank all the caring and supportive care givers and physicians at Norwood Capital Care Centre for their kindness and attention to Harry’s comfort. Also thanks to Stony Plain Hospital staff for their transitional care and assistance. A celebration of his life will take place in the summer of 2021 with online viewing available.
