It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harry Wilfred Pockett on February 17, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on March 4, 1946, in Jedburgh, Saskatchewan, Harry lived a life full of passion, adventure, and love for his family.
Harry was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Elma; and a cherished father to his sons, Roger and Johnathon, and daughters, Sandra and Bobbie-Jo and their spouses. He also leaves behind several grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews who brought him endless joy. Siblings left to mourn are Jean, Allen, and Beatrice.
Pre-deceased by his mother, Annie Pockett, father, Herbert Pockett, and siblings Albert, Harvey, and May.
A man of many interests, Harry found happiness in the great outdoors, spending countless hours fishing and camping. His love for motorcycles and auto mechanics kept his hands busy and his spirit young. He was also an avid cribbage player, always ready for a good game and a friendly challenge.
Harry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved and the many stories he leaves behind.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Harry’s love of the outdoors by spending a day fishing, camping, or simply enjoying nature in his memory.
Rest easy, Harry. Your journey continues in the hearts of those who love you.
