James Arnold Richards

James Richards (Edmonton) passed away peacefully on 24 September 2024 at Athabasca Hospital
shortly after a terminal diagnosis. He was surrounded by his family during his last moments.

James is predeceased by his parents, Ross and Shirley; and brother, John. He is survived by his
sister, Shelley (Colin); brother, Jeff (Marg); sister-in-law, Susan; and nieces, Victoria & Samantha;
and nephew, James.

James worked as a carpenter in Alberta and sometimes Ontario for most of his adult life.
He semi-retired to rural Athabasca in 2009 where he built a nice cabin and embraced the country living.
Back in July 2023 when the property became too much to maintain, he sold up and moved into town.
He also bought himself a new truck and travelled around Alberta and British Columbia catching up with
old friends and family. He really enjoyed his last adventure.

To honour our brother’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to privately celebrate James’ memory
in your own way and know that he will be with us in spirit.
