Ivan Douglas (Doug) Wise passed away peacefully August 9th, 2020. He is lovingly remembered by his two sons Tim (Leslie) of St. Albert and Randy (Sandra) of Surrey, B.C.; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and his sister Barbara of Sarnia, Ontario. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years Mary; sisters Beverly and Mary Lou; and parents Ivan and Addie Wise. Doug served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 16 years and reached the rank of Sargent. Glenda Lynn Christensen passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on August 7, 2020 at 9:53am. Glenda was born in Calgary on October 5, 1952 and lived to be 68 years old. Through the years Glenda’s caring nature brought comfort to the many patients she touched in her life long nursing career. She was an advocate for the residents as well as the fellow co workers she worked along side of. She was instrumental in the coordination of the AUPE Union at Millwoods Shepherds Care Centre. Anna Smith, 86, passed away on July 25, 2020, in Edmonton, AB after a short illness. Anna Smith was born to Ted and Ida Reistma on May 3rd, 1934 in Neerlandia, AB, the youngest of 4 children. After obtaining her nursing degree in Edmonton, she worked in Hawaii and California before settling down in Seattle, Washington. She was also a stewardess for United Airlines and worked the overnight flights from New York to Los Angeles.
