Pat

The family of Patricia Lee Walker of Edmonton, Alberta is saddened to announce her passing on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the age of 83 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: John Reichel (Debbie) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Bobbie Pichette (Wade) of Edmonton, Alberta; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her two husbands, Robert (Bob) Reichel and John Walker; daughter, Francee (Fran) Pungor; brother, William Jellison; sister, Joyce Barnett; and her parents, Joseph and Frances Jellison.

Patricia (Pat) was born Patricia Lee Jellison in the City of Waterloo Iowa on April 2, 1940. She met her first husband Robert (Bob) Reichel through pen pal letters. Pat married Bob and moved to Canada where she became a Canadian citizen and had three children.

Pat and Bob were divorced after 25 years of marriage and she then married John Walker (deceased), they were later divorced.

Pat devoted her life to public service for both the Alberta and British Columbia governments and spent many of these years as social worker helping children and youth.

Her faith gave her strength, and she is with God now. As she would say “The lord is my shepherd.”

Memorial Donations may be made in Patricia Walker’s name to Second Chance Rescue Society (SCARS) at https://www.scarscare.ca/donate/.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Mel Miller Hospice at Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre for their care and compassion.
