It is with profound sadness that the family of Petra Head announces her passing on July1st 2025, at the age of 65 in Edmonton, Alberta. After a brief illness, Petra passed peacefully with her loving family by her side.
Petra was Born in Balingen, Germany on October 17th 1959. Left to mourn are her husband, Donny; daughter, Samantha (Abraham); granddaughters, Emrah, Hosanna; son, Joshua (Sarah); mother, Maria; brothers, Jurgen (Roswitha) and Wolfgang (Rita). Petra was predeceased by her father, Erich and brother, Uwe.
Petra was a devout Wife, Mother, Daughter, and Grandmother. She loved her family and would do anything for them. She was the glue that held them together. She enjoyed travel and adventure. She loved Europe and especially her homeland of Germany. She was an avid fan of the arts and loved opera and dancing. She was one with nature and had a great respect for animals. She loved nothing more than to take her little Dog Rocco on hikes through the various parks and trails throughout the City and anywhere else she travelled.
Her passing has left a void that will never be filled. She will be forever loved, missed, and remembered.
The family would like to thank the staff at the University Hospital and Norwood Hospice Care Facility for their outstanding care and support.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral at the family’s request. A private interment with family only will take place at a later date.

No words can express how saddened we were to receive the news of Petra’s death.
We didn’t get to know her, personally, but , we know from family conversations how much she was dearly loved. She will truly be missed.

May your cherished memories and special moments help ease your painful sorrow. And, may the Peace of God surround and strengthen you . Psalm 34:18 of His Holy Word – promises that He is “near to the broken-hearted”. Trust Him-He will be your Comforter.
