It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ryan Richardson on May 10, 2026, at the age of 33.
Ryan was a deeply loved son, a loyal brother to Shane, and above all else, a profoundly devoted father to his “little guy” and very best friend, Zebadiah. Ryan was so proud of the young man Zeb is becoming, and he poured his heart into teaching him kindness, respect, strength, and loyalty.
Together they shared many special moments: gaming side by side, shooting hoops, riding scooters, making music, and laughing around campfires, to name a few. The love between them was something truly beautiful to witness.
Ryan enjoyed discussing world events and debating ideas. He had a quick wit and a way of making those around him feel comfortable. He loved deeply, protected fiercely, and carried a heart far bigger than most ever knew.
He leaves behind the greatest joy of his life, his son Zebadiah; his parents, who loved him beyond measure, Lynne (Luc Belanger) and Jim (friend Wanda Laliberte); and his beloved brother Shane, whom he adored greatly.
He was also loved by his grandparents, Lorraine Gauthier (nee L’Heureux), late Raymond Gauthier (Denise Viens), late Norah (nee Richardson), and Roger Capeless. He leaves behind his aunts and uncles, Carole (Dave Rogers), Marc Gauthier, Debbie (Neil Finnerty), Delores Capeless, Bruce Capeless (Alma Hicks), and many other extended family and close friends.
Though our hearts are shattered, we hold tightly to the memories, laughter, and love Ryan gave so freely to those around him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held in Timmins, Ontario, at a later date.
