Terry Bykewich

You are here: Obituaries / Terry Bykewich
December 18, 1946 - July 17, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Bykewich on July 17, 2023 after battling a brief illness. He is survived by his daughters, Jill (Paul) and Teresa (Graham); his sister, Gayle; three grandchildren, Abigail, Sylvie and Noah; and his remaining furry companion, Pablo. He was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Rose.

Terry was a kind and caring man. He was a devoted father, son and brother, and a faithful friend. Terry was quick to lend a helping hand for family and friends. Whether you needed your computer fixed, a hand moving, or just someone to talk to, you could count on Terry. He loved spoiling the dogs in his life, whether his own, his daughters’ dogs or even the neighbours’. He even bought Christmas treats for his sister’s cats. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed!

Terry’s wishes were that there be no funeral and for his family and friends to have a private celebration of his life. We encourage anyone who knew Terry to celebrate his life how he would have wanted… enjoy a round of golf, care for a pet, eat a good meal (with a Diet Coke), or place a bet on your favourite race horse. Just know that Terry will be smiling with you.
