Thomas Jean-Rock Lebel, lovingly known as Rocky, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on March 26, 2025, at the age of 40. Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Rocky was known for his big heart, vibrant spirit, and the deep love he had for those closest to him.
He is survived by his devoted mother, Bernadina Corvetti; his sister, Christina (Maksym); his adored nieces and nephew—Mercedes (Alex), Phoenix, Nikyta, and Ekaterina—and his grandmother, Irene Lebel. He was predeceased by his father, Serge Lebel, and his grandparents, Patricia and Tom Luxton.
Rocky had a natural connection to animals and the outdoors, finding peace and joy in the simple beauty of nature. As a child, he amazed everyone with his ability to catch fish with his bare hands—a skill that captured his fearless, playful nature. He carried that same adventurous spirit into adulthood, paired with a deep love for his family and an unmatched devotion to the people he cared about.
He was a proud and loving uncle who loved nothing more than to visit with his nieces and nephew. Rocky’s life was full of heart—resilient, passionate, and grounded in love.
Rocky will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, and the fierce loyalty he had for his family and friends. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his memory will continue to live on in the stories we share and the love we carry forward.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate towards an organization that supports men’s mental health.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
