With broken hearts and much love, we said goodbye to our dear Peter on November 2, 2023. He was a wonderful and loving husband, dad, didi, brother, and friend. Peter Shulko, formerly from Andrew Alberta, passed away peacefully at the age of 89 in Edmonton, Alberta with his son Ken by his side. He was born on March 16, 1934. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ken Kernested on November 1, 2023. Ken passed away peacefully in his sleep with his loving family at his side. His absence is deeply felt by all who knew him, especially by his children, Danna (Mark), Cody (Robyn); sister, Christine; brother, Jim; grandchildren, Kaleb and Gage; as well as nieces and nephew and many friends. Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Dorothy Gloria Anderson, passed away on November 1, 2023 in Edmonton, Alberta. Dorothy was born in 1930 in Waterways, Alberta to Mary and Edward Leonard, the second oldest of 9 children. Dorothy regaled her family with stories of growing up in Waterways (now a part of Fort McMurray). Of walking the 3 miles to the cabins of her Grandmother, Carolyn Desjarlais, and Great-Grandmother, Martine Wanyandy.
