It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert ‘Bob’ Hunter on June 28, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 54yrs, Mary; daughter, Rhonda (Casey); sister, Donna; niece, Kelley, as well as numerous other extended family, friends and colleagues. Aunt Jane was one of 11 children of Frank and Helen Ogonoski, who were immigrants from Ukraine and Poland, respectively. Two of the children died young, but Jane grew up with her 6 sisters, and 3 brothers. First on a farm in Uncas, and later in Edmonton. At the age of 20 she helped care for wounded soldiers at what is now Government House, and this sparked an interest in nursing.
