It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Don Widynowski on July 5th 2024, at the age of 74. Don will be dearly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Charlotte Widynowski; his children, Sherri, Jeff (Tara), Erin (Shane), and Kristopher; his grandchildren, Noah, Aliya, Parker, Charlize, Max, Zachary, Sophia, Jackson and Kinley; as well as his brother, Garry (Debbie) Widynowski; and his sister, Joanne Parss. Aunt Jane was one of 11 children of Frank and Helen Ogonoski, who were immigrants from Ukraine and Poland, respectively. Two of the children died young, but Jane grew up with her 6 sisters, and 3 brothers. First on a farm in Uncas, and later in Edmonton.  At the age of 20 she helped care for wounded soldiers at what is now Government House, and this sparked an interest in nursing. Our beloved Mother, Grandma, Great Grandma, Sister, Aunt and Friend, Jocelyn Faye Walker of Whitecourt, AB, passed away on June 28, 2024 at the age of 72 with her family by her side. Jocelyn was born on September 8, 1951 in Beausejour, Manitoba. In 1967 Jocelyn met Tom(husband) at St Joes High School in Grande Prairie, AB. Jocelyn and Tom went on to get married on December 6, 1969 and have three children, Dwayne, Scott and Jennifer. Hockey and sports was a big part of his younger years with his dad and brothers, either playing in tournaments or watching games, a lot of time was spent at the arenas. It is with very heavy hearts we announce the death of Glenna Jane McQueen (Taylor), on June 24,2024 she lost her courageous battle with cancer. Glenna will be forever missed by her beloved knight in shining armour, Bob; her kids: Jennifer, Sean, Lisa, and Krystin; and the absolute joys of her life, her grandchildren: Ayden, Jaxon, Paetynn, and Audrey. Karen Lee Hutchinson was born on February 27, 1962, in Grande Prairie, Alberta, the 3rd and youngest child of Duane and Arlene Kerik. She passed away suddenly on June 23, 2024. While Karen was born with some challenges, she was given incredible opportunities and exceeded all expectations. When she was in her late teens, Karen moved to Edmonton to attend Vocational College, where she learned life skills that did her well throughout her life. Judy was predeceased by her parents, Ed & Daisy Bourne; and son, Allen Edward James; She survived by her daughter, Korisa Homan; her granddaughter & husband, Amanda & Kris Bohnet; her grandsons, Daniel and Matthew Homan; her brother and sister-in-law, Brian & Shirley; and her sister and brother-in-law, Wendy & Bill; her long time friend, Al Biro of Lamont; plus numerous cousins and friends. We are saddened to announce the passing of our father, Aubrey (Sam) DeCorby, following a long battle with cancer. He is predeceased by his late wife, Hazel; his parents and six brothers. He is survived by his daughters, Margaret and Dawn; and his sons; David and Andrew, and Ken Dion; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
