Linda Marie (Baxter) Bennett passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on the evening of March 23, 2024, at her home in Parkland County, Alberta, Canada. She had been battling cancer for three and a half years and finally succumbed to it. On the 22nd of September 1952, Linda Marie was born to parents, Carl and Elizabeth Baxter, at Brooks, Alberta. She was the youngest sister of Bryan (Hazel), Beverley (Art), and Carol. Sandy Clause, a.k.a. Alexander George Hay, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from pneumonia. He was predeceased by his loving mother, Phyllis Hay; and father, Robert Hay. Sandy is survived by his brother, Ian Hay; and many friends who he considered family. A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingsway Legion where he loved to play and win pool tournaments. Robert Harold Edmonstone passed away peacefully at Edmonton General Continuing Care, on March 13, 2024. Robert was predeceased by his loving parents, Robert and Mareta Edmonstone. He will be remembered by his siblings, Cliff Edmonstone (Mary), Katharine Edmonstone, Frances Grant (Gary, deceased), and Mary Rowe (Don). Robert is survived by his children, Victoria, Rachel, Virginia, and Robert. The family would like to express our gratitude to the staff of EGCC for caring for “Bob” and “treating him like a king.” Private family service will be held in Owen Sound, Ontario.

Wolfgang Hans Hoffmann, aged 75, passed away peacefully in his sleep, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Germany on March 1949, he embarked on a remarkable journey that led him to Canada in 1954. Wolfgang is predeceased by his son, Russell; parents, Eleonore, and Werner; and stepmother, Frieda. He leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. The family of Patricia Lee Walker of Edmonton, Alberta is saddened to announce her passing on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the age of 83 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: John Reichel (Debbie) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Bobbie Pichette (Wade) of Edmonton, Alberta; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Anita Smith passed away surrounded by family on February 20, 2024. She is predeceased by her husband, Ken Smith; and survived by her children, Deb (Jim) Clegg, Sandy (Tim) McRae, Gary (Helen) Smith, Alan (Janet) Smith, Keri-Lee (Miles) Konrad, and Todd (Andrea) Smith; 13 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Raelyn was born in St. Albert, Alberta to her parents Gary Norton and Deidre Burshtinski. She was raised in Athabasca, Edmonton, and Grande Prairie, Alberta. Raelyn passed away in Grande Prairie, Alberta suddenly and way before her time. She leaves behind her parents; son, King; two sisters, Richelle and Reanna; and many others who loved her dearly. No service will be held at this time, a private family gathering may be held sometime in the future.
